
Dr. Campbell graduated from Eastern Virginia Medical School (1993). He completed his internship in General Surgery and residency in Urology at The State University of New York at Buffalo. He obtained his Bachelors degree from Gettysburg College(1987) and Masters degree(1989) from Virginia Commonwealth University. He sees the full spectrum of urologic patients but specializes in minimally invasive surgery and microsurgery, oncology, incontinence, and pediatric urology. He has special training in Laparoscopy, Brachytherapy (permanent & temporary "seed" implants), and Microsurgical Vasectomy Reversal.
Dr. Campbell is one of only a handful of surgeons in Michigan who perform a true 2-layer microsurgical vasovasostomy. In addition, Dr. Campbell was one of the earliest urologists in Michigan to perform a laser prostatectomy for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and currently offers both the Greenlight and HOLAP procedures. He also offers minimaly invasive office based treatment for BPH that require no anesthesia. Dr. Campbell is a trained Robotic surgeon offering patients the advantages of this minimally invasive approach.
Dr. Campbell's athletic interests include snow skiing, squash and other racket sports, scuba diving, swimming, and soccer. He is actively involved in his kids athletic activities. Dr. Campbell is world traveled having lived in England, Japan, and Belgium during his childhood. He is a member of the American Urologic Association, Northcentral section of the AUA, and Michigan State Medical Society. Dr. Campbell was named one of Detroit Hour Magazine's "Top Docs" in 2006.
Dr. Campbell is seeing male and female new patients from the ages of 1 day until 100 years old. Dr. Campbell is board certified by the American Board of Urology.
